CAPTURE iOS is getting a new name and refreshed look-and-feel with our upcoming
8.6 release. Your existing CAPTURE functionality is not changing, but you will get new additional estimating features in the same app experience.
What is changing?
CAPTURE iOS will be renamed to Estimate iOS and the app will have an updated, more modern design (based on user feedback and current best practice). Beyond the new name, logo, and refreshed interface, the app also includes new additional estimating functionality.
What is not changing?
The original CAPTURE iOS functionality remains the same. You will still be able to access your existing claims, assignments, and questionnaires as you do today.
What new functionality am I getting?
Estimate iOS combines CAPTURE’s questionnaire and data-capture capability with estimating features you may be familiar with in Estimate Windows, as well as introducing some new advanced features like LiDAR scanning and AI-powered scoping.
Will I need to install a new app?
No. Existing CAPTURE users on iOS will be automatically upgraded. When you open the app, you’ll see the Estimate name and logo instead of CAPTURE.
Will my current work or data be affected?
No. Your existing claims, assignments, and questionnaires will still be available after the upgrade, and you can continue working as normal.
What about CAPTURE on Android?
CAPTURE on Android will remain unchanged as the Estimate enhancements are delivered through iOS-native estimating framework/components.
